This workshop is themed to creating your own Monet’s Garden painting on a quality canvas in acrylic paints. I visited his garden last year in the summer and it was an amazing place of beauty and colour. I then painted the painting you can see as the image for this workshop.

Expressive Creative Intuitive Painting Workshop-12th October 10am-4pm

This painting workshop is suitable for all levels of painting ability. It’s about having a go whilst increasing your confidence with your creativity, in the moment, being inspired by the nature we find around us. The workshop is tailored entirely to those present. This is  a fun, happy workshop, without any right or wrong as the art is created intuitively, trusting yourself to be inspired by the colours and nature that surrounds us. It’s more than art as you connect to the place, to the natural world and to others present at the workshop.

“My workshops allow the participants to begin tapping into the intuitive process for themselves. I want people to trust themselves more and create art that is a part of them not me. No group photo of everyone with the same painting at the end. I want people to explore themselves and the world around them as an adventure of excitement and wonder. Being intuitive is full of surprises, connection and excitement as you never know what is going to unravel on the canvas or paper in front of you. I continue to learn about myself, others and the world around us as I continue the path of intuitive art making. It would be lovely if you joined me.”

Intuitive Art is about really trusting that inner guidance when creating, it’s about listening and feeling what is happening around you through your emotions. It’s about connecting to the deep inner authentic you and bringing that out in your art. Like most things you can get better at being intuitive as you trust yourself more and work through the issues that arise as you work. It’s about finding an inner  peace with yourself that what you are creating is authentic to you. Intuitive art is about allowing your heart and soul to rule over your head as you find the space to let go of all the noise in your head whilst you connect to your inner self that  allows the imagination to run freely and create often unexpected art.

Workshop Participant “she explained so much to me, demystifying things, showing me how to create a background, how to get texture, techniques to create balance, all sorts of things I had no idea about and then she set me free to create what I wanted, without pushing me into a specific style or way of creating and I so appreciated that. She took away the fear of getting it “wrong”.

The workshop includes all materials with refreshments and homemade cakes. A packed lunch will be required or you can walk over to the main hospital site to the cafe there.

The first part of the day will include a gentle walk in the wellbeing garden to be inspired by the nature that surrounds the venue. Old clothes or an apron are best as acrylic paint cannot be easily removed when dry.

The Wellbeing Centre is a drop in support centre for anyone affected by cancer including family and friends. They offer emotional support, relaxation and advice on many issues including benefits, healthy lifestyles and confidence amongst many other issues.

The centre can be found at The Robert Horrell Macmillan Centre at Peterborough Hospital. Drive into the hospital and follow the road through the barriers at the end to Carpark H for the  Centrewhich  is on the left at the end of the road. Free Car parking is available for the days workshop.
