An original painting inspired by gorgeous red poppy fields where I live. Gorgeous poppy flowers in a meadow in tones of greens, blues and reds.
A dramatic hand painted, textured poppy painting for your walls, this painting will brighten your mood on any dull day with its vibrant colours and use of glitter and metallic paints. The picture doesn’t do it justice, the flowers and grasses are made up of layers which glisten and shine as you view the painting from different viewpoints.
This handmade painting recreates the iconic, red, poppy fields of early summer in England. It is the colour of love and remembrance that rouses your senses and captivates your heart.
No frame needed for this vibrant wall art, as the edges are painted too. Standing at 50cm x 76 x 4cm, with the fixings included.

This POPPIES painting is bright and colourful and is inspired by the fields of poppies that can be seen around my home in England. I have always loved poppies but in the last few years they have had a more significant impact as I have been creating a series of art commemorating the people, places and events of WWI a hundred years on. Poppies have since 2014 always been in my heart as I remember the soldiers of WWI who died in The Great War. More of this work can be seen in the blogs on my website www.charronpugsleyhill.com As part of this work I work often on site in Belgium and France and I take felted poppies that I make to lay on the poignant graves of soldiers who lie in the cemeteries that are scattered over the land.
We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies.
This painting has fine glitters and sequins that sparkle in the changing light giving a changing depth to the painting throughout the day.
